Rear Tail Light Guards work!

I bought a set from a forum member back in Feb, and since then I've been in 2 accidents. First one was someone trying to slip past me on the left to get into a turn lane as I was sitting in traffic stopped on my way to work. His passenger side mirror smacked my left rear tail light guard and disintegrated. Today, I was backing out of a parking spot at a shopping center, and a Lexus parked in the spot right behind me also decided to back out as well. Back up about 3' and crunch. I get out, and can't even see where I was hit. His trunk was trashed. Turns out, my Hannibal ladder step and the same left rear light guard decided to have Asian food for lunch. No damage at all to the D.

I'm glad I bought those, but wondering if that left rear guard is cursed.

BTW, I also found out that Lexus cars are made of plastic; there was a pile of it of all different colors on the ground and all over my rear lights and pintle hook.

Heh heh ... Lexus had it coming.

What style guard did you buy ?
The all in one guard one piece that protects all the rear lights
Or the individual guards.

Thanks.

So, who was responsible for the accident? Hopefully not you.

mutual responsibility. We both backed out simultaneously and met in the middle.

I have the square style lights so each side is one piece and rectangular.

Perhaps, but it has now twice saved me from a $250 insurance deductible and having to replace my left rear tail light assembly. that's a fact.

there was a little bit of a bend in, so I see your point. I have a 40L steel water tank right there though. Next time I pull it out, I may add something to fill the space, since this seems to be a recurring issue thanks to the fates.
