rear seal is wet

my rear seal is wet. It does not appear to be leaking at this time onto my garage floor. Any idea what it'll cost to replace this?

thanks

john

Last quote from a good independent rover shop was upwards of around $1,100. Dealer wanted areound $2,800.

The rear main seal on the engine.

Can't tell you how long it you can leave it. If it's not a huge leak, I would just keep an eye on it.

Are you sure your problem is the rear main seal?
