My rear door lock has always worked fine in my 110, but starting yesterday, it doesn't seem to want to lock. I can turn the key to the locked position as before, but it still opens with the handle. After locking and unlocking it several times last night with the key, it locked and stayed locked. However, today I opened it, and after trying the same thing a couple times it was still opening.
Make that 5, mine does the same thing. I have noticed that if I push on the tire with some force while closing my door, it seems to trigger the latch without me having to lock it. I also notice that i have to really pull hard on the handle quite a bit to get it to open.
Inspect the docking area for the door...where the latch engages on the tub...this gets moved over repetitive use. Loosen and move this rearward and try closing the door. Repeat until satisfied with the engagement

so I've decided to go with a new latch, but I don't want to replace with another NAS lock, as the NAS lock did NOT have the latch on the inside that let's one lock/unlock the door from inside the cabin. this must have been a ROW thing. Does anyone know if a ROW lock with fit the NAS door? If so, part no?
I just got it today, and it took about 1 hr to pull the trim, drill out the rivets on the latch, replace the spring and reassemble. Now my original latch works perfectly! When I opened it, the spring that keeps the locking latch closed was broke in half as claimed by this kit producer.
The whole kit shipped was about $10! Recommended! Will post project pics tomorrow.
How much you think it will cost to repair a DC110 SW rear door latch?
