Rear frame question

What is the large recessed hole in the frame of my 110 used for?

I believe it to be clearance for a power take off shaft.

This is a modern frame? Is the hole rececessed (i.e. doesn't go through) and slightly off to the right? That is usually used for the trailer hook up. You can't have a PTO with a hole that doesn't go through the chassis and you can't run a PTO shaft through the gas tank anyway.

If you have a TD5 chassis then it is the trailer plug location.
