Re-working 97 wagon
Still on interior . . .
Now that hinges are replaced, floors are stripped and repainted w/ stainless bolts and new carpets going in, among the many thousand things to do
, One issue I know I will also want to repair is the rear door.
1- overall conditions of most panels is good, however, there is some bubbling/rust at the rear door bottom (latch side) Rust due to rain draining in via the handle? - has anyone cleaned this up before? POR-15? Clean/sand repaint? Treat inside?
2- The rear inner trim panel has a small tear (about 1"), which I assume is common, I had considered mounting somthing there perhaps I can find a 110 rear door pocket? (other suggestions?) or what replacement panel is most applicable? Can I find a replacement original at a reasonable cost?. I have seen the diamond plate ones online. Opinions re these?
3- Also planned to clean up rear hinges . . is someone making alloy ones for rear yet? If not best route in rust proofing existing ones?
