Rear Crossmember

has anybody have an idea of the cost to ship a crossmember from Craddock UK to here?

I've sent at least 10 emails requesting the cost, all I get back is " Place the order, and when we ship we charge your credit card , but no amount is mentioned "

Thanks

Yikes! When you are down at my shop today we can take a look at what it would take to repair it. So I assume RN and AB don't carry rear crossmembers?

I didn't need the extensions so mine was only 80 pounds for shipping. Careful if you order one that doesn't have the extension becuase they sent me one with no fitment pieces on it, about 4 weeks later they finally sent the fitment kit.

The regular suspects (AB, RN & maybe DAP) should have them... I know I've seen them available before..

When I checked they didn't have any in stock and the supplier had either dried up or stopped making them. Same story around various shops.

RN told me they'd have some in 4 weeks about a week ago (the Proline galvanized ones). Not sure if that was BS or not.

Hey Rugbier,

I note that you are in Maryland. Just a little north of me. Did you see my post on Gary Landes Repair of my rear cross member?

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...st+restoration

His repair is still holding up well. You should get your truck in front of him before you do anything. If you want to see my truck I am right down 32, just before I-95. PM me if you want.

Mike at ECR has a perfect frame and Crown14 has a galvanized frame.

Don't waste money on a rear crossmember. Put a galvanized frame under it.

Flagg,

I met Gary when I did the renovation on the 109 ( awesome guy ) , I had another place do the work, but doesn't take any of what an great guy Gary is .

My problem is my crossmember is way beyond repair, it needs a new one.

I am off 32 pass 26. Maybe we ride together to an event sometime

Thanks for the help

Ron,

If I had your knowledge and qualifications I might consider a 3000 investment, sadly I can't do the job myself and not so crazy about dumping 8000 just to have a galvi chassis as the rest of my frame is quite allright

Are you volunteering to do AD HONOREM work ? *LOL* ... I kidd
