Rear Coil Springs for 110

Hi,

I am about to change the rear coil springs in my Defender 110 Td5, year 2000 because it has dropped on one side and it feels bit soft.
I am probably going to decide between the Britpart, imported from the UK (half price), or the original Land Rover, sold by a Ford dealer (double the price).

Does anybody have any comments on the quality/price balance of both coil springs?
I am tempted to go for Britpart since they cost half the price and I am not really sure whether the original Land Rover are really made by Land Rover.

Opinions?
Finally, is it normal to have to change the rear coil springs after 8 years?

Thanks
Cheers,
Santiago, Mendoza, Argentina

I have had to change springs in the 110 5-doors, but my '95 3-door is still 'sitting high'- you may want to try a set of those, or OME's.

I did a bunch of OME's for myself and several other guys. If you are looking for a lift they work quite nice. I liked the MD rears and the HD fronts.
My springs where very sagged after 10 years and 129K miles

Har! Yeah, I saw it and couldn't pass it up. Especially with all the snow lately.

Glad to see that the 110 got some new springs! Next, you'll be wanting a Scorpion Racing HD rear sway bar with 1" drop blocks and quick disconnects. It will transform the vehicle's handling. That and the rear disc brakes (thanks!) are the two best things I've done to the 110.
