Rear Bench On top of Rubber or Below

Installation of rear bench - brackets (side locks and bottom mounts) on top of loadspace mat or underneath (cut load space mat) - Opinions?

Mine came new from the dealer in '94 and all rear seat hardware is mounted on top of the mat.

Mine is on top of the rubber, and as far as it looks that was the factory way

Got it. I mounted my last one this way on a different truck. Also made the super stupid mistake of centering the floor mounts without the seat in...so had to drill 4 new holes to the right to allow the seat to be removed. Chris that is a great suggestion on heating up the socket!

My 94 NAS came stock with no rear bench. Found a stock seat without hardware. Can anyone specify what I need for mounting hardware?
