I prefer the MUD UK version that surrounds the entire gear shift.

They don't make an LT77 version in LHD for some reason.

What makes it RHD/LHD? The MUD UK R380 one I have appears to be symetrical...

I have no idea. But it specifically says it's for RHD only, and the R380 version can be ordered either way:

LT77: http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/i...tray-lt77.html

R380: http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/i...tray-r380.html

I did finally figure this out, it's the hand brake lever.

There is a cut out on the LHD R380 version to clear the handbrake being on the left.

RHD R380:

The guy at the company did say that it will fit a LHD LT77 if the handbrake is on the RHD side.

I only use them as catch trays and rely on my tuffy bev holders for all drinks.

The RDX drink holder actually look deep enough to hold a drink from tipping alright, but their position under the AC would be an awkward reach and wouldn't fit more than a 12 oz can of soda without interference.
