Am I missing something, or did I skip ordering this just a few weeks ago --- and now they don't make them anymore?!?!?

Yeah. The mount. But I'm not seeing their full metal binnacle anymore.

Other than the obvious that it is metal, what actually makes it better? (My entire dash on drivers side was home made, so I have no context for comparing the Raptor mount to the plastic one.)

I purchased both items on eBay. The seller is uculparts or urbanlandcruisers. He might still have some in stock

email Raptor directly. Julie is the contact. I sent you her email address. She will send you a paypal invoice. Easiest and least expensive way to get the Raptor.

So weird. When I click on that link at the top of the page, I get only the binnacle mount. I checked several times!

Thanks.

That is weird...I clicked on the link and it worked. Went straight to the binnacle, not the mount.

I also went back and checked on the mount and it worked too...though it says they are out of stock.

I think you have to email for the LHD version anyway. The pics and the drop down seem to show the RHD versions.

I got into contact with Raptor today and I'm hoping they will be able to help -- the NAS/Saudi Spec binnacle support is not the same as the standard. There is a nice big hole cut into the left side of this type in order to allow the AC vent tube to run through....

Technically, I could cut a hole in it when I get it, but that's stupid. So I hope they have a version that can accommodate my needs.

How is the Raptor version different from the alum ones that Safari Hp has been having made/selling for years here in the US ?

This must be to accommodate the NAS 110 Dash A/C. Unless your running that dash I dont see a point in the hole.

Maybe that... I've never heard of it!

I am using the NAS dash.

my bad. I also didn't know SafariHP was making them. I would have much rather supported Stephen than an overseas company.

They make the mount, which was out of stock when some of us ordered the raptor version instead. I don't believe they make a binnacle in metal yet.

Is it weird that once again I can't find this item on the maker's web page? Out of stock?

I can get to it via the link above, but there is no picture. The pics in the linked thread show that it would not work for my dash.
