best quote i could get for a 4 core locally was 550 from some rather not so reputable looking shops, so i went with the good name at a reasonable price, a new stock radiator runs about 600 shiped, for a little bit more you get alot more, plus i had the oil cooler input and output welded over to boot!

Jim, what's your opinion on this? I have now heard several people say they have seen no negatives associated with this, but I keep thinking "the manufacturer must have added the cooler for a reason".

Its not an option for you now with the newer style engine. Can not delete your oil cooler lines.
