Radiator muff question

At what temp should one use a muff for a tdi?

if your cooling system is working right, I would think it would need to be a blizzard out and subzero to need it. basically when your system can't keep the temps up.

the primary reason I have mine is for wading, mud and grass.

Great, thanks. Every once and a while someone mentions a radiator muff some was curious. I will be making frequent trips to Tahoe this winter and in the future but it usually doesn't get much below 0 there

if you can't keep the temps up at 180-190F, your thermostat is shot.

300tdi's can take a bit of warming up ... A muff can help you get the truck up to temp.

I use a muff in the winter. I don't have problems with the engine keeping the temp up, but it warms up a lot more quickly with it on and the cooling system has no problem maintaining that temperature.
