quick question: wiring

This wire runs into the passenger side of the frame where the middle crossmember is.

1) Where does it terminate? Is it running further down the frame or across and inside the crossmember?

2) What wire is it? Positive lead, sensor wiring, etc?

Zoom out. Hard to tell. Probably the rear lights though.

You will have the chassis harness that runs inside the frame and exits at the rear before the cross member. However your wire is on the outside next to a frame horn? Where does it come from, the bulkhead?

Ah, it's all making sense to me. Yes, the wire runs from the bulkhead, splits off into a "Y" with one end going into the transmission area (rear backup light switch?) and other runs into the hole in the frame.

I also have a random wire that starts at the bulkhead (see pix- no continuity or voltage readings), and runs into the same black wire loom casing as the harness that eventually splits and runs into the frame.

Been pulling a lot of strange wiring left by the PO.

The loom in the first picture is your chassis harness, which runs all the way to the rear of the chassis and exits between the upper spring perch and the crossmember. It contains all of the wires that run your brake, tail, indicator, tag and reverse lights. It may also contain a wire for the heated rear glass and speaker wiring if your truck has either.

That looks like a factory wire. What colors are they?
