Exclamation quick help on heater hose routing!

Afternoon Board-

Taking a beautiful afternoon to change the hoses and belt on Ole Red and got distracted by a daughter late for tennis lessons. Have searched to no avail.

On the passenger side of the engine there are two heater hoses, I need to know which In/outlet goes to which in/outlet. In other words, there is a "front" and "back" hose off of the heater and a "driver" "passenger" connection above the passenger side valve cover. Does the "front" go to "passsenger" or vice versa. Usually keep track of these things but got distracted and do not want to reverse them!

Thanks much.

Well...figured it out but am a bit disappointed in the Board. 16 views and not one of you peckers saw fit to help me out. Probably should have asked the J**p board. I hope this doesn't portend the future of the usefulness of this Board.

Well....I certainly found a way to get a response....

and...to paraphrase my friend Jimmy.....

...I approached him, I said "Mr. Bear(flippedrover), I love
every hair on your twenty-seven acre body
I know you got a lot of friends over there
on the other side of the hill
There's ole' rare bear, tall bear, Freddy bear, Kelly bear
Really bear, smelly the bear, smokey the bear,
pokey the bear
I want you to go back over there tonight
And tell them I'm feelin' right
You tell them I love each and everyone of them
like a brother and a sister

But if they give me any trouble tonight
I'm gonna run every God damn one of them off the hill"

I agree with Kevin...

Let's all throw away our shop manuals, or don't even buy one if we haven't already, and rely on this board (or any board) to provide instant help on a Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend.

Yup, there goes mine in the trash right now!

Oh, by the way...

I just took off all the lug nuts on my driver side, front wheel and forgot to mark them. Can anyone tell me how to reinstall them???

It's 15 degrees here and with the windchill it's below zero so please, please help before I get frostbite!

Please!!!

Yeah, that's excactly the level of assistance you can expect. Now why don't you take your ball and go home ???

Sheesh - (a) Not everyone here has a '97 to pop out an look at , (2) some of us who do have '97's available were working all freankin' weekend, and (finally) now this is a unique concept, but you can always look at the hoses before you tak the old one's off.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong ... oh, and right here on this very board you might have found .. http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...achmentid=6223

that might have helped a little bit ... sheesh ...

Well...first off...the threaded hole goes toward the stud then start turning in a clockwise fashion.....and "B" I did consult the Shop Manual and the Owners Manual AND the The Source.. and saw the photo of the nice Pastel Green 90 but as I knew that one was not a 97 did not want to go by that picture. And thirdly, even if the 6 guys/gals online at the time (members) did not have a 97, a kind "hey dummy, someone with a 97 will hopefully get with you shortly" would have been preferable to the cocophony of silence I received. AND, if there is a diagram of the 2 hoses in question in either the Shop or Owners manual, I will gladly eat my shorts and post a picture for all to see.

By the way, if anyone know how to fix a leaky sun/moon roof I wouldn't mind a helping hand....(weatherstripping is perfect, the glass looks overly bowed)

Hey there Kev,

Don't want to leave you hangin'

My shop manual is at home, so I can't help you with the hose diagram ... as regards the roof ... are you sure the roof panel isn't bent?

Is this something that just started ... have you owned this SW long ... is the weatherstip leaking or is it leaking between the weatherstrip and the roof panel ???

Keith....I love ya......man.....

Nope, haven't owned this one long, about a month. This is my 2nd 90 so I am RELATIVELY familiar with them. It is leaking between the weatherstripping-(which is in perfect shape) and the 4 or 5 inches that encompass the lock mechanism. It seems as if the wheel just isn't pulling the sun/moon glass panel down tight enough before it "threads out". Are these known to wear and not get tight enough?

And by the way, thanks for getting with me so quickly. This Board sure riles rather easily!

Just figured any one who has "FINS" as a signature would have recognized "God's Own Drunk" by Lord Buckley-as sung by JB-and would be a true Buffett fan. Perhaps you're as much a JB aficionado as you are a D-90 resource.

Anyway.....don't mean to start a fight. If I upset you with my tongue-in-cheek "pecker". I'm sorry. I am much too busy and have too many things to upgrade on my 90 to argue/bicker with you.

I pledge to answer any inquiry you may have, with a bit of humor if necessary, and help you solve any 90 issues.

We`re all here to serve you, Kevin. I don`t know what I was thinking, looking at this post the other day and not replying with a friendly "I don`t know the answer to your question".

Yep better get to work lowering and blinging the 90. Or maybe you are using it to haul supplies to your house under the bridge.

Wow...my "house under the bridge"...good one....

"blinging the 90"....clearly vernacular of which I am alltogether not terribly familiar....

My (stolen and slightly paraphrased) final words to you on this subject...
