Red face ? Quick ? About Dissy Cap

Hello! I have a question about the distributor cap on a 1995. Does anyone know what the plug sequence is on the cap? I am sort of embarrassed to say I did not know there was a plug sequence. Thank you so much!

I hate the word dissy too but I figured it would make the men look

I believe when standing at the front of the car and looking straight down at the cap, at the 12 o'clock position is the #6 plug, then going clockwise it is 5 - 7 - 2 - 1 - 8 - 4 - 3. You probably already know this, but just in case, the cylinders on the drivers side bank are the odd numbers with #1 in the front. Even number cylinders are on the passenger side with #2 in front.

Thank you Steve! It has been awhile since I have dealt with a truck with a cap.

OK I am back with another dissy ?

My friend needs some help and I am clueless on where to get this part. Here is what has transpired over the past week..

Quote:

It turns out all I need is a part called a top hat. It holds the top part of the shaft to the drive shaft. The only problem is Land Rover stopped selling them as a single part in 2003. Now they make you buy the whole rebuild kit. The top hat sold for $2.37, but the rebuild kit is $71. I called roversnorth and they did not have it.

It is a little plastic press fit piece that I think breaks evertime you take the distributor apart.

Does anyone have a heads up on the aforementioned part? Thank you for the help! Without BBS' like this one I would have to sell my rover and buy a Yota!
