Questions FFR 24V Radio Truck Generator

Anyone have knowledge or knowledge regarding the 24V FFR Radio Truck Generators.
Anyone know the correct answer to these questions?
Lets not drag this thread out with speculations.

1.) Since they are a generator, am wondering if they will produce voltage from being rotated in either direction as long as the field is energized.

2.) Is anyone familiar with the regulator, how it works, and how complicated the wiring?

3.) Does anyone have any experience with making their own regulators or retrofitting a different regulator if the stock one is too complicated?

4.) Anyone have experience transforming 24V current to 12V current?

Again please don't respond with a bunch of speculations.
If you know the answer would be happy to hear from you.

Thanks.

This thread is dead.
I discovered the 200 AMP Ford Tarus Sho alternator we use will work, so am not interested in the 24V Radio Truck Generator.
