Question on Bolts

Does anyone have a recommendation on what to use stainless bolts for and those items not use stainless? Is there a complete list of bolts sizes for 110s?

I put them everywhere there isnt a 12.9 or hardened bolt or stud. If it required the extra strength from the factory i wont replace it with the softer stainless.

Also i didnt replace some if i could clean up the original cad plating

Not sure if this is entirely applicable to the 110, but I pulled these lists from this forum a while back and have found them to be very handy - one covers interior, the other exterior. Hope this helps, Jeff.

What are people using when mixing stainless with carbon steel? I have the old jar of Permatex Copper anti-seize. Would this work or introducing copper just exasperate the problem?

Thank you, the list should help. My plan is to use the original bolts (cleaned up and replace with those I had to cut off) with anti-seize to get a rolloing chassis and any engine/trans mounting. I will then use stainless for everything else.

I use the cheaper aluminum antisieze, either would work i guess. havent had any issues using this in the NE for years now

EDIT: now reading the permatex website they say that the nickel antisieze is for use with stainless.

I have used the Permatex copper anti-seize as well as the Loc-tite copper sticks...have had mixed results with both. If you have SS threading through or into carbon steel on the underside you may want to consider just sticking with zinc and saving a few bucks. I replaced the visible body bolts with SS and have had no issues removing them when needed.
