Question about LHD VS. RHD

So, I'm currently building up a '90 200tdi frame I purchased a while ago from RN. I recently purchased the correct D90 200tdi motor which obviously came from the UK (which would have been a RHD). I mounted the engine in the chassis last week, but I feel like it sits too far over on the left side. It's not hitting the power steering or anything, but it is really close. Since this is now going to be a LHD vehicle, do I need to swap the engine mounts so it sits further to the right, or will it not matter.

I have not yet mounted the transmission on, as I am awaiting parts from the UK....

Your .02 is greatly appreciated..

Motors were in the same spot, LHD or RHD.

Thanks. One less worry.. Now for the bonus question, do you know if the d90 NAS driveshafts( or RR, or disco) are the same size as the 200tdi ones, or do I have to order those up special too?

While I do not have personal knowledge of this, I do believe that 200tdi driveshafts are different length that the NAS ones.

My understanding is 2.25/2.5/2.5TD/200Tdi are one length and the 300tdi/NAS are another.

Gotcha. Yeah, for a fact, mine is specifically a Defender 200TDI, and NOT a Disco. The gentleman I purchased it from actually had both, so he showed me the differences between the Defender and Disco manifolds. I guess the Defender ones are more rare? Weird. You'd think there's a ton of 200tdi D90's everywhere but here in the states..

Thanks a lot guys!

People want the Defender versions for their Series and older 90/110s, so the used market on those engines is big.

200TDI Discos are basically worth nothing in the UK and they are thus a dime a dozen and easy to come by.
