Q's about sw door preparation

I have some SW door that I purchased from Safairover over 5 months ago. What is the procedure to get them prepared and ready for painting and new hinge replacement?
Do I need to remove the door cards, door handles, and pull out the locks? Any suggestions for a smooth project is greatly appreciated.
I did a search for the procedure but didn't come up with anything that helped me.

If you're looking for a quick"Maaco" type of job, you can leave everything on and mask around it(not advisable), or strip it down and do it right the first time. Everything should be removed, especially if you're doing a color change.

I'm sure others will chime in, but keep this in mind, any good painter will tell you, 95% of the end result is in the prep. This is not the area to cut corners, and you get what you pay for. Good Luck.

Hinge replacement should be easy too. Since you are removing the old doors you don't have to worry trimming the current door capping to fit the new style hinges.

Strip them down.

There is a thread posted on here somewhere that covers how to do it.

I'm ok with stripping them down. I have the time and putting a luttle effort is not a problem. I just have to find the thread that shows the steps. I'd like to do it right from the beginning. So far I already have the hinges set up and in place.
My skills at finding the thread have been lacking. I'll check again.
