PS Pump Help

I have the (I believe) correct PS pump for a Defender 200tdi. No matter how I orient the pump in the plate that attaches to the mounting bracket it does not leave room to attach hoses. The plate only mounts to the bracket one way, with the two adjustment holes to the left (pic is upside down) as you look at it mounted.

If I orient the pump so that the pipes are in the North or upward position there is not enough clearance between the mounting bracket and the PS pump to attach hoses. If I orient the pump in the plate so that the pipes are in the East or right position the pipes actually hit the frame.

There is only a 90 degree change in orientation when it seems as though there should be a 45 degree option in order for there to be enough room to attach the hoses.

Any pointers? Do I have the wrong pump, plate or both?
Thanks in advance.

They should both point up. I'm not sure that I understand what is in the way. Are the hoses stock? Is the alternator stock?

Pointed up it hits the bracket that the plate with pump mounts too - which also is what the alternator mounts too now. I tried to take pics of the bracket. Front of it and from the rear. Also not sure what the part number is for the pressure hose.

Rookie mistake. Fitted everything and knew the hoses would not fit with pipes oriented up. Didn't check to see if they would encounter interference with the frame.
