PS Box rigid lines

My 1983 110 RD PS box is leaking from the rigid lines with flare nuts that connect to hoses to the reservoir and the feed line.

Are these lines single flare or bubble flare? Also can i just buy a appropriate sized brake line with nuts, cut it into 2 parts and clamp on a new set of hoses?

Its a slow leak, but imtrying to get this truck as tight as possible.

have you tried to tighten the fitting?

where exactly is the leak coming from?

the flares are different from brake lines. You can take your lines to a hydraulic shop and have them redone with new hose. In a roadside situation I have used a cut and bent PS line from a chevy pickup for the return line to the reservoir. The fitting thread and flare style was identical.

Yea they are snug. I.m getting leaking from the inside diameter of the flare nut that the rigid line passes through.

The hoses arent leaking, just the connection point. I figued that they had been apart a few times and the flare has been crimped to the point that it no longer seals.

I was hoping it was a sinlge flare, double flare or bubble flare but I guess not.

yeah I know what brake line flares look like. Trust me the PS stuff is entirely different. The do use an o-ring which may be bad on yours.
