Proline or Genuine lower radiator hose

Need to replace my lower radiator hose on a 300tdi. Belt pulley has worn a groove in a portion of it.

Decent price difference between proline and genuine. Any reason this has to be genuine?

For what it's worth, I got the Proline dash vent seals and was very impressed with the weight and quality of the rubber.

Good idea. Thanks. Looks like the hose was supposed to be tied/clamped out of the way and that didn't hold.
