Power steering lines and other inconsistencies
OK- I know Rover is consistently inconsistent but this one is interesting. Replacing my steering box on the 94 and the pressure line from the pump to the box is actually apparently the NTC6790 which was allegedly only used until 1992 instead of the NTC9099 that is supposed to be there. It appears to be that way originally and the ends on the 9099 will fit, but are a different diameter inlet and seal design.
Anyone else run into these things that all the Rover parts books and Microcat etc all claim different? Now I can see how people can still get the 'wrong' stuff even though they order the "right" stuff.
I guess I'll stick the one that matches (same as Disco I) back on instead of what three different books say is the right one.
