Powder Coat with Galvanizing?

If I were to get something galvanized (in this case its a roof rack) would I be able to get powder coat to stay on it?
I've heard people try to paint it and it just comes off so I thought I would ask before I went and did it...

I know who would know the answer for you. Call Lynda Evans at Evans Performance Products. 1-866-448-1604
They do all types of coatings.

They sand blast the metal before they powdercoat it so my guess would be not. If I was leaning twards coating anything I would have it sprayed with Line-X. Lasts forever and looks great! Pretty darn cheap for what you are getting.

Anyone have any experience with this? How well has it worked out and does it last?

I've seen Kevinny's stuff from the Utica place. It is great and holds up well. We have some parts there now with his current batch.

I have an SMSI bumper on my series truck. It is galvanized with powder coating over the top. The coating adheres fine.
