POE liftgate struts-sources?

Getnlemen:
I am quickly coming to the end of a long project and when getting down to the wire, I tend to find all of the things I overlooked in the past several months.

I'm putting a POE top on a '94 and have either the correct parts or suggestions on them with the exception of the lift struts. I did find a thread with a part number, but no indication as to a vendor.

Other than the usualy suspects (of whom, I'm probably one) what alternative soruces have you used to obtain liftgate struts for the POE top?

TIA,
PT

see Chris-I told you I'd be back!

PT, Check McMaster.

McMaster-Carr screwed me badly when I had a corporate professional job. I'd rather wait for genuine parts to be made by tiny little Welsh men with tiny little Snap-On hammers than buy ANYTHING from McMaster-Carr.

Swipe some off an RR, probably the same thing.... or just buy a midget and pay them to lift the gate when needed.

JimC has a post with all the mcmaster carr parts you need including all the brackets. IIRC it was like $60 when I ordered it all. That being said, it seem like standard stuff you could get from a competitor.

Surprisingly given the route this top took to get here, I have all the brackets, just not the lift struts.

Buy something big from McMaster-Carr and then try to get replacement parts and you'll have the same opinion of them as I.

I'd check the part numbers, but Microcat either doesn't list these parts or I've not been able to find them. I have not been able to find any parts lists for the POE tops and my UK folks tell me they are so rare that they don't expect me to have any luck finding parts. C'mawn, the truck it's going on is only 16 years old!
