Plug adapter part numbers

I am swapping out early defender tail lamps for wipac LED tail lamps and am looking at a few different plug adapters. Is the rovers north part number LAH01 the same as Land Rovers STC 4637? It appears the only difference is the bullet connector.

Is there any significant drawback the just solder and shrink tubing these lights in and skipping all connectors? Seems like less to corrode.

They are the same parts and both have bullets. Those are for the brake lights only. The turn signals and running lights have a two pin connector.

The downside to no connectors is you need to cut the wires when you want to remove the lights. These connectors are waterproof and won't corrode.

Do you happen to know the Land Rover part number for the harness / plug for the clear running lights (BA 5162)?
