Plenum Removal

I'm a noob to Defenders, so aplogies in advance for silly questions. I'm replacing my fuel injectors, using the service manual. The instructions for removing the plenum include removing and clamping two coolant hoses that enter the plenum just below the intake.

I pulled those hoses no problem, but the hose connector on the plenum drained fluid like crazy. I tried collecting it, but on top of making a mess it drained at least 1/2 gallon of coolant with no signs of slowing down.

Is this something I need to find a way to collect? does it just need to drain out or have i made an error? The service manual makes no mention coolant darning from the plenum itself, so not sure how to proceed. I just replaced the hose to stop the flow for now.

Normal, they are cooler lines, as for collecting just for disposal. I would flush the whole system if you don't know the last time it was done. Good luck have fun.
