Play in Drive line

Hey guys i'm new on the form and to the defender world. I've owned rovers before but never a Defender

Anyways I have just purchased this 130 300tdi double cab and I found that it has 1/4 turn of play in the rear end, I took the diff apart all looks good, wondering if maybe the axle shafts would this be common? It also has about 23100km on it. I wonder if this is just normal?

Welcome.

Pull the drive flanges and inspect the splines on the flanges and shafts for wear.
