I have had a couple re-built. Seems the only options given to me was the bearing. Would not have anything to do with performance but rather life span. I did ask about a different vane but the price per hp increase wasn't very appealing.
I have one that is rebuilt and the compressor side has been machined to accept a slightly large compressor wheel that is more effective at moving air across the entire rpm range vs the old t-250-04. Most noticeable on the highway.
