Panel lights

Simple question that I'm sure someone on here will know. I just bought a 1990 110 and am wondering if the instrument panel lights are supposed to come on automatically when you turn the headlights on? I can't find a switch anywhere and they don't come on when I turn the headlights on. On my 84 110 I had to flip a separate switch to turn the instrument panel lights on. Sorry to insult everyone's intelligence, thanks for reading.

Cheers,
Andy

They shouldn't have a separate switch. They should come on with the parking light being selected.

on early trucks and I forget when they stopped this practice- there is a rocker switch on the dash with three positions. One position turns on the dome light, one position is everything off, third position turns on dash lights.

Yeah, that's how it was on my 84. This truck however has only two switches down there, the hazards and the rear fog light

One of The rocker switches next to the steering column control the dash lights..in the upper position the dash lights come on automatically with the lights.. In the centre position they are off.. And in the lower position it turns the interior light on.. If your missing the rocker switch that will note than likely be your problem..it should be as simple as bridging a wire at the switch connector temporarily..
Edit.. Forget this... I see Doug has already answered this... Unless it has interior light door switches it should still have this switch for the lights and interior lights..
