Just thought I would pass along some information on paint that I've found as being very effective for the appliactions being discussed in this thread. For 25+ years of wrenching and restoring (all as a hobby), I've tried/tested a number of paints and rust treatments including the products mentioned in this thread. The product I've found most effective turns out is not that well known commercially, Zero Rust http://www.zero-rust.com

The product is amazing in preventing corrosion actions. I've been using for the last 5 years and have a running test on my D 90 chassis. Thus far after 5 new england years on the road, no signs of any corrosion on the chassis. It also happens that the black color product they make matches the light satin of the original Land Rover frame nicely.
