I insist on pictures whenever I see such a claim. No one has posted pics of a rotted galvanized chassis yet.

Photos wouldn't really help much, though I don't think the truck is in VT anymore. It was a 109 truck cab. From the outside it was somewhat dull grey, with pock marks all over, but when you took a hammer to it, it was clear

Apparently T Wash was invented by Britrail, years ago. They needed a solution to prep and paint galvanized steel to make it last longer.

The key to a good top coating of any surface is proper prep underneath. That goes for paint, powder-coat or galvanize.

Proper cleaning, and primer selection go a long way. Although it's easy to buy a rattle can of primer, a catalized product will have superior performance if applied and prepped correctly. After the PPG clean and metal prep on my side frames, I and following PPG's instructions and using a 2 part epoxy premier.

I have lots of galvanized parts on my truck, and they have all been painted, or powder coated. No issues with the finish sticking to the galvanized steel.

Didn't Mike Smith post some rotted galvy frame pics?

I've already seen the rust starting on jimmyjamz galvy frame--- it'll have holes next year.
