Paddocks?

I ordered something from Paddocks on Feb 26th and then wrote them a follow-up email on Mar. 8th to check on the status. I have heard nada. Wrote them again today. I have heard really good things about them, but this is my first time actually using them. Anyone else have a current order? Did it go well or poorly?

Thanks. Sophie is who I originally dealt with but I think the email was something like sophie@paddocks.com. I will try the one you gave if they don't respond to my latest note. Like I said I have heard great things from them on the board, so maybe I am just unlucky. Actually I know I am unlucky.

I've heard very good things, and absolutely terrible things about them....

.... and that's just postage within the UK!

Well if it is a 50/50 chance I will definitely get the bad side of it. You not would believe how bad my luck is. I should write a book.

A friend of mine ... says 'If it wasn't for wankers luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all ...'

try calling them ... actually speaking to a person ensures you are not hitting their spam folder!

Never order from Paddocks online. You have to call and ask if they have what you want in stock. Otherwise they will take your order, hit your card and never send you updates. They suck answering emails. If you call and make certain they have the item in stock they are a great place to do business with.

Hmm.. I just ordered a pile of stuff from Paddocks online. Showed up two days later. However, my last two orders from RN took about three times longer and had missing stuff. Go figure.

the correct email for Sophie is sophie@paddockspares.com

Sometimes the stuff gets here in a few days, other times it takes a week. if customs for some reason decides to actually due there job it can take longer. I have waited a few weeks before.

Ya it was a rear crossmember with extensions and I have seen more than a few folks who said they ordered it from Paddocks and received it in about a week. I am going on 3 weeks and haven't heard anything, so I am guessing they are out of stock. I will give them a couple of days on my latest email request and then hit them on the ringer.

I recently switched to Brit-car.co.uk and Duncan is great to deal with, generally cheaper, specifies Genuine, OEM, and Pattern on the site and gets things out fairly quickly. Having had many, many, bad experiences with UK vendors it was good to find him. It helps he lived in Canada for a while and understands our concept of "customer service" as well.

don't wait to call ... if your email was missed it will stay missed!

Customer service in the UK is generally less than it is here ... but then we don't like people in McDonalds wishing us a nice day!

I have ordered from Paddocks and most recently from Brit-car. A couple of things in my Brit-car order was missing so I sent a couple of emails but no response. I called them just now and everything is taken care of. Very friendly and helpful but will not respond to emails. Same with Paddocks. Must be a UK customer service thing. Brit-car shipping was reasonable and super quick. A couple of days.

"generally less", by our standards it's often "openly hostile", few other places I've been feel the need to put protective glass around customer service people.

The UK is the only place in the world I know that being offensive and abusive to a person is taken as a term of endearment.

So I needed to use the term "f*cking c*nts" is what you are saying? Isn't that one of the prefered methods of verbal abuse over there?

I wouldn't go that far. Once you actually get to talk to someone they have been very friendly and helpful. The people behind the counter at my local post office aren't exactly chipper.

Well Toni wrote me email and said they are having some problems with the shipper. And that without any vulgarities from me either! We will see when it actually gets here.
