P38 Power Brake Booster

My friend has a 1996 P38 Range Rover, 4.0 with a dead power brake booster. Truck has 186,000 miles on it and is in reasonable condition.

He said he is getting quotes to replace anywhere from $1,500 to $2,400.

Any recomendations for a used replacement? (Am planning on contacting Will Tillery back east.)

Is there anything unique about the P38 boosters themselves that would command a high price?

P38 dosen't use a vacuum booster like most vehicles, it is a more complicated version of the braking system from the RRC. Parts are expensive, pump failure is common. I do have a p38 parts truck here now if you need anything.
