P1414 and P1417 on 4.6

Anyone had those codes before ?
According to what I've been reading
main suspect is SAI solenoid valve, then
SAI pump.
I can check SAI pump bypassing relay but
what about solenoid, is there a test for it, is
it serviceable ?

Cheers

You have SAI faults and they are a bitch to figure them out.

What is the description for the two faults? Sorry, I don't feel like searching them. Check the vacuum lines that go to the SAI valves and pay particular attention to the connection at the reservoir.

You can energize the blower motor and it should pump air.. The sai valves on each side can be tested with a vacuum pump, they should open with vacuum and hold vacuum.. Not serviceable but aren't too bad to replace just the valve itself..as jimmy said.. Make sure all the vacuum lines are on.. 2 on the vacuum reservoir.. One on the I take manifold , 2 on the vacuum valves and 2 on the switching valve behind the throttle body.. They get swelled up with contamination and sometimes fall off... We just wrap a small zip tie around them and it snugs them tight..

I did that with the previous vacuum hose, this one is less than a year, but may it's time to do it to this one also.

My bet is on the solenoid for now, if it's the pump i'll try to rebuild it.
