Options, what are they?

I just got finished removing my BROKEN stock tire carrier. Damn thing snapped. Anyway I was wondering is SG and Mantec the only options I have for a carrier. I here Shrockworks is no longer producing thiers. Any info would be great.

You could go custom and have a welding shop near you make one.

Or if your tires aren't too big do the hood mount.

What would you consider too big for a hood mount? I am running 33x12.50s, and I have been wondering about doing a hoodie.

Hmmm, I think it's more the width and 12.5 is pretty wide for a hood mount, it will block allot.

Take your spare off the back and stick it on the hood in the middle and see how much of your vision is blocked.

Check with Jim at Shrockworks. He might build another run if he has enough request for them. I installed one from this last run he made and am very happy with mine.

I just did the hood mount. Not a bad option! I'm running 255/85s. I think the extra two inches would be a pain to see over/around. The hardest part having the spare on the hood is knowing how close/far your RH wing is to something.

But the cost of a hood mount versus buying a custom carrier is pretty big. I have a drop tail gate so I need something to work with that.... Saving my pennies.
