Opinion: A frame ball joint

I need to do my ball A-frame ball joint again.
Anyone have direct experience with the x-eng adjustable joint?

Otherwise I'm going genuine.

thanks!

Why do you say "again"? What happened to the first one? These should last a long time... Are you lifted? Do you have non-stock travel?

The joint X-eng sells has been around for a long time and they are good if you have a lot of extra travel and they can be tightened up to remove slack.

Its been 5 years and lots of bad roads, so not too bad.
Not really lifted... OME 754's but it is a camper so it is likely close to stock height +1-2in.

It has been loose for quite sometime and I like the idea of tightening. I'm not concerned with travel, just service life... I hate changing these.

Can you grease these when you tighten them?
