Online Paint Vendor?

Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me where I can order up some paint online? I found a lot of info here on how to paint and paint codes but no where to actually get the paint. Any trusted sources? Thanks in advance.

Seriously? There aren't any body shop suppliers in Orlando?

Someone posted this link one time. I haven't used them yet, but looks like a decent source.

Thanks for the info but I am having a hard time finding vendors who can get me "bronze green" though. Any thoughts or leads? Thanks again.

I had a 65 SIIA and was looking to rattle can it with bronze green but gave up. The only online vendor that I could find that said they had it ended up sending me Coniston Green instead.

Landiman (Mark Pilkington) on lrrforums.com recently repainted a 2 door RRC in Bronze Green. If you search there you might be able to find the vendor that he used.

MUDSUX,
The link I posted has it. If you put in 1990 Land Rover it will bring up a paint color sheet, then you type the info in to buy... Bronze Green, color chip formula number 45451, mfg. paint code 001. They also have Eastnor Green, which is almost the same. ECR recently did a 110 in Eastnor (attached).

If you can't find someone online, try these folks:
Finishmaster
1407 West Central Blvd.
Orlando, FL 32805
(407) 841-8220

They are a DuPont distributor and should be able to mix you some Bronze Green laquer, 38500L

Mike-Thanks! I didn't know that had that color in 1990. I thought it was just for the earlier Land Rover Series. I looked under the earliest year available on the drop down menu, which was 1988 and it didn't pop up. Thanks!

Tom-will keep that info in mind. Thanks!

Looking for spray can of paint- nothing fancy just need to repaint a few pieces like hinges. Tower paint burned down last week so they are out of business. Anyone have a rattle can source?

Thanks,
Alex

Really about tower? That sucks. I have a spare alpine white if you need it although it will be silly expensive to ship due to the hazmat surcharge for paint.

Called Tower today (this is so what I get for procrastination) and the gentleman said they were robbed and it was arson. The shop burned to the ground and they are out of business.

Thanks Ron but I'm looking for black. The other vendor in this thread doesn't have rattle cans. I need idiot proof.

Beluga Black is a common color so any paint shop should be able to find the code.

Just get a can made local, most auto paint shops can put paint in a spray can for you. You might have to buy a pint or quart, you can save the extra for future use or have it all put in cans at once.

I ended up going with automotivetouchup.com but good to know I can go to an auto paint shop and have them make it up. They were listed in another thread so we'll see how it turns out.

Not to hi-jack but speaking of paint, as I do a Series III build up a paint change is in order. What finish do people use to deal with brush and branch marks? My DII Epsom Green was a bitch to keep looking good, although I like that color and was thinking of it for the Series. My Tacoma is Indigo Blue and the same thing, I need to buff it out after every wheeling event. I suppose it's the dark colors with clear coat, so what are other options? I usually have 3 coats of wax put that doesn't always help.

Lighter is easier. The white Disco has some marks on it and you don't see them unless the truck is really clean and you are really close to it.
