Hey folks. I am wondering how easy it is to replace the tub support bar that goes from seat belt stand to seat belt stand? and what the h*&l is that thing called anyway.
Thank you!

Its easy, but sometimes the bolts at either end are hard to line up with the threads. Best thing to do is have some quick clamps handy to move things together or spread them apart.

Oh, I'm dumb, you mean the one under the tub - ug, that's not easy at all. The good news is that when you buy the parts as a retrofit kit instead of factory-fitted, they come split, so you could easily saw the middle and then sleeve and bolt the bar on reinstall.

I talked to my mechanic about this and he swears you have to raise the tub up to get the under tub support in.

(1-piece, '94 truck).

This sucks, as i had hoped it was just a matter of jacking the truck up and wiggling it around to get it in. Raising the tub sound like a sucky job...

Anyone out there that have done this care to chime in?
