Ok, this is funny.

So for the first 3-4 years I owned my 110 it cranked out shin melting heat. This of course proved to be because the headgaskets were bad and the truck was constantly overheating.

Now I have a freshly rebuild V8 and since it's running nice and cool the heat is really anemic. Thought about a radiator muff but raising the engine temp scares the crap out of me.

Any thoughts?

Loosen the head bolts, just a little bit? :-)

Or, make the heater modification.

Just did this in the 90, coupled with an upgraded GM heater fan. Literally driving around, in January, in a tshirt, and it was sweltering in the truck (and its a ST!). And I loved every minute of it.

The 93's were not the best for heat. The parts for your heater box are hard to get but they do come available from time to time. I saw your heater core , new, on Ebay UK a few months back. It was really cheap. I would pull the heater core and see what it looks like. Over the years it might be not in the best shape.

I didn't realize you finished the install!!! So it worked out great? How big of a difference? You have got to do that writeup soon. This would be a spring project for me.

Yes, fantastic....but I think it's one of those that MUST be combined with the bulkhead cutout. On its own I'm not sure it would be as effective. I'll try to write it up this week.

Great! I already have the cutout done. What GM part no did you get? I need to pick one up to have on standby. Did it fit right in or did you have to mod the heater housing?
