Oil cooler not circulating

I noticed that the oil never flows through the radiator, the oil will reach the red zone in the highway if I don't keep an eye on it. Is there a diagram that shows where the thermostat is located?

I noticed that the radiator itself doesn't get hot, but one of the pipes coming to the radiator does get hot, could the radiator itself be clogged?

Thanks!

Oil and water temp? Or just oil?

pull the radiator and flush it, both for oil and coolant.

Have you checked to see if the oil pump is moving oil? T-stat clear?

Thermostat, perhaps it's stuck closed. This is for a 300Tdi, I'm not sure what motor you are running.

We need more info. The oil should never overheat even without and oil cooler. What is the coolant temperature doing?

Which style of oil cooler do you have?

Today I drove it on 495 for a bit, the oil was running hot, and water was at like 3/4th, when I got home I turned the car off and the oil temp gauge went down reallly slow even after the ignition was off. a picture of the oil cooler lines shows that hot oil went through both of them.. So I'm starting to have trust issues with the gauges.. Max block temp was 90c

I don't want to replace all the gauges because I'm swapping them out for a madman ems2 when I swap the 200tdi in. (Just need radiator/intercooler brackets)
