Odd fuel tank leak

My under seat tank has a sporadic leak. It started to leak a bit as we were taking the truck apart. I figured it was the drain and put a new washer on there before I put fuel in the tank. I put in 3+ gallons and let it sit for 2 days, no leak. Yesterday I put hoses on the fuel line and return but didn't put clamps on them. This AM there as a puddle of diesel, the sender and the return were dry but there was a slow drip at the low point of the tank. (Away from the drain plug)
Any ideas?
Thanks

The guy who did that really really clean and sweet resto of a lightweight has photos showing where there are spot wields on the bottom of the tank and that can corrode and where most of the leaks come from and not around the drain plug itself. Turns out the tank bottom is layers of steel welded together. He has a build thread on the RN forum in the series section. He also posted his lightweight in the registry on here some months ago.
