O2 Sensor troubleshoot

Anyone out there by chance know the procedure for troubleshooting a possible faulty O2 sensor. I keep getting a 42 reading on my '95 D90 and the sensors are fairly new.

Thanks in advance--Bryan

O2

My OBD 2 reader gave O2 sensor failure reading. So I started at the beginning. I found cracked/arcing ignition wire...replaced the set of wires. Cleared codes. Re-read... No failure reading. Cause and effect.

Thanks Darrin

My wires are relatively new but I'll check in case.
