O2 sensor replacement

Hi,

Any suggestions on where to buy the O2 sensor replacements online? Atlantic British has a pack of four for almost 500 bucks! Is it worth it to go with theirs? I assume they are Land Rover parts? I found NGK 25044 kits on eBay that say they fit 97 D90's as well...for only 56 each. Should i save half the money and buy the NGK's?

Thanks for any help
Mitch

How many sensors do you need? I just did both of mine in the range for $220 from AB. There are always two different products listed. One will be ridiculously expensive and I assume is original equipment. The other is just as good, in my opinion, and is reasonably priced. The O2 sensor's are NTK. NGK are spark plugs. Both Japanese. Hard to go wrong. My .02

Thanks David. I am going to replace all 4. The quote from AB was 480, so based on your price of 220 for 2...that sounds right.

Thanks for the reply

The difference in the generic ones are the plugs. If you want to get a factory connector you are going to pay over $100.00 each.

I just replaced both of the ones on my '95 Defender. Got them from Rovers North for about $135 a piece plus shipping. You will need the round connector, as stated above, you will have to splice the wires and use the connectors from your current sensors if you go with the generic (cheaper option).

I used NTK ones on mine when I did a full tune up before smog a few years ago. When i took out the OE sensors they were NTK with a rover part number on them iirc. For AEL trucks the part number is 25044 which is about 50 bucks on amazon. For non AEL trucks the part number is 25017 and they are bout 80 on amazon currently. My truck has AEL so i used the 25044 sensor and it had the correct plug, no generic plug splicing bs. Plug and play..

If you don't mind splicing on the old wiring plug, you can get them on ebay for about $30 each. Genuine NTK.
