O2 sensor question

Quick question I couldn't find by searching,

Where are the front O2 sensors on the '97 4.0L and how long does it take to change them?

Thanks

in general terms, you will have one in front and one behind the cats on 96 and up vehicles

Use a offset 21mm 02 plug socket and some heat to remove them.

the harbor freight one is cheap and works fine

Sometimes it's a 15-minute job, other times it takes 2-days.

Whatever you use, make sure it is 6 point and spray the crap out of them with your pentrating lubricant of choice before hand. I put anti-sieze on the threads when I reinstall.

If you know they are junk, my best luck has been cutting the wires and using a proper 6 point deep socket and a breaker bar to get them out.

For the senors, Amazon used to be the cheapest place to get them, but now it looks like it's:
http://www.autopartsdealer.com/ntk_o..._content=rank1 if you don't AELS. Free shipping too.

If you have AELS then the same place is cheaper than Amazon by a few cents, but no free shipping:
