Nut Plate door striker for early 110

I realize this isnt a very technical questions, so I apologize in advance. I'm just starting down the road of Defender repair...

My small project of changing my door seals lead to what I thought would be a quick adjustment of the door striker, but the bolts securing the striker broke in the nut plate. It looks like someone used an impact gun on the bolts and the entire plate looks compromised and twisted.

Since the part is NLA and I dont have access or skills to weld, would some grade 8 bolts washer setup suffice? Or does anyone know of a suitable work around?

I'll check my box-o-crap tomorrow. I may have one for you but a bolt with a washer should work just fine or you could drill out the thread and use a 2nd nut on a longer bolt and use what you have as the "washer".

If the treads on the plate are ok use it, the plate is more of a holder instead of separate nuts
