That's more or less how I started minus the ratchet strap. The front & outside holes would line while the inside would be out of position. It's like one of the flanges is rotated just enough to make it a PITA. According to RN's instruction sheet, the two center bolt holes are the proper distance apart and the other two are about 1/4'' short causing a rotation off axis that cannot be forced into place. I'll measure my old NRP just to confirm tomorrow.

Zack @ RN set out a new Y pipe and it installed with no problem.

Your avatar shows an 88 County and you mentioned that it was a 3.5. Did you opt for the later y-pipe that hangs below the later crossmember, or does your y-pipe go over the cross?

You are correct, it's on an 88 RRC w/ 3.5. I was replacing an old NRP so already had the new crossmember... y-pipe hangs below.
