No title 25 year old Canadian truck.

Does anyone know how I can bring in a 25 year older truck that is in Canada with no title?

1) Do I get it titled in Canada with a Canadian friend and then buy it and bring it in?

2) Buy is and get NYS to give me a title and then bring it in under my name?

I think you forgot to add "eh" onto the end of those sentences. That may help with the translations.

Canadian vehicles don't have titles - just a registration slip with the name of the owner. If the vehicle has the registration slip, that along with the customs papers are all you will need to title the vehicle.

I believe the above is what you meant to say.

No titles in Canada

I can confirm that we do not have titles here.

So i basically need a bill of sale, and registration slip signed over to me? I don't think he has it register as he has lots of junk cars all over his property. I may need a cop to go there and get the VIN number and verify it.

Just double check the requirements for the province it is being purchased in. Some it is just the registration and bill of sale others require a provincial form filled out to transfer ownership.

Where

Can you tell us which province you are buying it in ?

Perhaps one of us canadians on the list here could give you more specific information or assist you. Oh, and we don't all talk like Bob and Dough Mackenzie... some of us speak french ;-)
