no power to 2.5t starter

Need some help. I have a Defender 90 with a 2.5t. When I turn the switch, the plug in relay is clicking but my starter won't engage. It was doing this every now and then, but now it won't start at all. New battery and replaced the relay just so. Any ideas appreciated.

Check grounds off starter. Check all connection on starter. Tap starter solenoid with hammer.

Had a similar problem with mine that was caused by a bad ignition switch. It started out as intermittently not starting, just getting clicks from the relay, and eventually devolved into nothing happening when the ignition switch was turned. I bypassed the starter position of the switch (everything else worked fine) and just hooked it up to a push button.
