New Winch Bumper

I am looking into getting a new bumper, and did have my eyes set on one from ARB. Then I saw this one at Rovers North.

Does anyone know who makes this bumper and have any more info on it. I like the fact that it is compact and doesn't hang down as far as the ARB does. I am a bit concerned at the description "Requires some modification to the grill and grill panel" I'd rather not hack up my grill/radiator area.

These come from the UK - First Four Off Road

I think Scorpion just distributes them also.

I like the Devon 4x4 bumper a lot - had I decided to put a winch on the 90, that would be my choice for sure...

Hey Randy, thanks for the plug....

BTW, we will be carrying the Devon line very soon.

That is a First Four Offroad, is very similar to Scorpion one but not the same. The Scorpion one comes in two versions: AC version and w/o version.

Scorpion's bumper is made with fewer welded parts than the one First For Four.

you could go with safari gard and wait like 69 weeks - or go the well traveled way, like me, and just do the ARB

If the two choices you are interested in is between the ARB and the bumber in the link, it seems like you are comparing the best approach angle to the absolute worst. I think the guy who designed the ARB for Defenders used to design snow plows. I would go with the other bumper for sure, seems like a great option and if I didn't build my own thing, I would have for sure bought that.

I just put one of theses on my truck. It's from First Four Offroad and they also have an AC model which sticks out a bit farther. I don't have AC so that's the one I bought. I did not anticipate having to cut a thing but I ended up having to chop the bottom off the alluminum grill surround and will also need to cut out a chunk of grill. Not too happy about it but the approach angle is superb and the bumper is TOUGH AS A BRICK SHITHOUSE. I have yet to install the winch but am looking forward to putting it through it's paces. You will also need to rewire your turn signals to one of your front marker lights. Best bet for that is get a pair of series turn signals from a wrecker or where ever. Changing the wiring around will only give you a fast flash on your signals. Search for info on this site on that subject. I have had no luck with slowing the flash yet but I also cannot find one of the reccommended bulbs.
